Recombinant Chicken Interleukin-1 Beta
Recombinant Chicken interleukin-1 (IL-1) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine secreted by many different cell types acting on a wide range of target cells, resulting in a diverse range of effects. The biological properties of IL-1 include the induction of B cell proliferation, stimulation of T cell proliferation in conjunction with IL-2 and the production of collagenase and prostaglandin by fibroblasts. IL-1 is also responsible for triggering the acute-phase response in the liver, and is involved in both cytokine network and vascular endothelium activation. Recombinant Chicken interleukin-1 (PAP002) induces corticosterone secretion in vivo (Weining et al. 1992).Recombinant Chicken interleukin-1 (PAP002) was the immunogen used to produce Bio-Rad chicken IL-1beta antibody (AHP941Z).
